Surprises

Good evening ladies (gents?)!

Almost weekend time…do the weekend dance, you know you want to!

My eats today were tasty!

Got up pretty early..it was rainy, so now walk outside this morning for me 😦

I lounged around until 8:30, then popped over to my apartment gym when it opened!  Beforehand, I ate a Kashi Blueberry Waffle with 1/2 tbsp Cinn Raisin PB, little Polaner Strawberry, sprinkle flax, and SF syrup!  Yum!

At the gym, I pounded out 40 minutes on the elliptical, levels 11-13

I also powerwalked on the tread for about 20 minutes

Total Calories Burned:  450

After the gym, I had a smaller breakfast.  I knew I was going to Panera for a goodbye lunch with my friend/co-worker, so I kept it light.  I had another Kashi Waffle (was feelin’ them today!) with a little Smart Balance, cinnamon, and SF syrup!  Alongside, a Pro-Biotic Fat-Free Vanilla Yogurt, 4 oz that I got with some coupons!

Tasty!

For lunch, I met my friend at Panera and had the You Pick Two combo, with Vegetarian Black Bean Soup (SO good there!), a piece of a whole grain baugette, and a classic garden salad (w/about 2 tbsp Low-Fat Balsamic Vinegrette dressing)  I didn’t snap any pics, as she doesn’t know about the blog, but it was yummy!  I also had 2 Diet Pepsis 😮

Today was my last day at work 😦 😦

I’ve worked this job for two years (during the school year), and I won’t get into details, but I work with kids!  They’re adorable (and challenging!) and I know I”m going to miss them. Today was a particularly stressful day and just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse…my supervisor and entire staff surprised me with a going away celebration!  I was in a frustrated mood, and I walked in from a different room and they had stalled me, setting up slices of cake (my boss baked 5 cakes!!) , juice, balloons, and 3 three beautiful and heartwarming cards from staff, her personally, and all the kids (complete with pictures!).  I was SO touched, I can’t even say!  I was completely and totally surprised and it instantly made my day 1,000 x better!  I’ll miss you guys!!!!!!!!!!!

Obviously, I had a piece of confetti cake with amazingly creamy frosting.  It was my party after all 😉

After work, I came home and really didn’t have much of an appetite.  I know I need to eat up a lot of food in my freezer and cabinets before I graduate, so I had plans to make a frozen pizza and roast up some brussels sprouts and zucchini.  However, once I got home I wasn’t feeling waiting for the veggies to roast, so I got lazy and just made the pizza.  Tee hee

It was a pretty healthy pizza though, a Margherita Pizza, 1/3 of the pie for 240 cals!  And it’s the most delicious frozen pizza I’ve ever had!  I had about 1/3 of it, but honestly I’m still hungry so I may go back for more 😉

Delish!

I’m spending the evening packing…ah the end of school.

OH and a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Miss Jenn!!!! She’s getting MARRIED!!! 🙂

Night!

Mini Update

Hey all!  Hope everyone’s weekend is going smashingly 😉

Spring break has been lotsa fun so far (but busy!!)

Since I left you last, I’ve driven A and I down to NYC (he lives in the area) to stay with his familia for a couple days 🙂

I don’t have very many pictures of food (okay, just one) but I have had some good eats!

Yesterday morning I had a nice, sweaty workout at the gym before we left.

35 mins elliptical, reverse mode, varying levels

15 mins powerwalking on teaddie

Ab circuit

Leg/lower body circuit

Total calories burned:  450

Great way to start the day!

Breakfast was eaten while packing…Vanilla Yoplait Probiotic Yogurt, and an apple

We drove over and visited my dad for a bit, and then hit the road jack!  For the drive I had my last White Chocolate Macadamia Luna.  So yummy, I’m sad I only had two 😦

After we arrived at A’s place, we went out and got some NY pizza 🙂  Although I live in NY, and consider my pizza “NY pizza,” NYC pizza is on a whole different level entirely 😉  The pizza was plain, but very thin crust, square cut.  They put the cheese on first, then the sauce and it was yum-o!  I also had a Diet Lemon Snapple and 1/2 of a potato croquette (mashed potato consistency and cheese fried…mmm.  Almost like a mozzerella stick with potato!)

We popped over to the mall for a bit and I picked up this

raspberry-frozen-yogurt

Raspberry Frozen Yogurt!  This was a regular size (smallest they had) and they posted the calories right next to the price, which I loved!  This was a great size for 175 calories!  Can’t beat that! 🙂

After some shopping, we came home and got ready for a night in Manhattan! We were meeting two other couples (2 guy friends of A’s and their girlfriends) for sushi and drinks in the city!  It was SO much fun, but there was a lot of running through Subway stations, down sidewalks etc. due to a time crunch with the transportation.  It was quite hilarious but we made it JUST in time for out reservation at 8pm 🙂

I had a Bento Box which included Teriyaki Salmon, a California Roll, Shrimp Dumplings, Sticky Rice, and Edamame!  So good!  The salmon (a newly found love of mine!) was tender and flaky, and marinated perfectly!  Also, when you spent $15/person you recieved 2 free rounds of either sake or white house wine.  The boys chose the sake and the ladies (well, 2 of us) the wine.  I had one glass of white wine (not a wine person at all, but light wines can be good, and this one was!) with dinner!  It was great, but I felt quite dehydrated this morning :-\

After dinner there was some Easter candy and a Cinnamon NY Pretzel consumed 😮 Delish.

We didn’t wind up getting home until 2 am, but had a great time with friends!

This morning, I slept until 9am, and then had a real NY bagel (wheat with a little smudge of cream cheese).  Perfecto!

Today, we had plans to go to Manhattan again and Candle Cafe, but sadly it’s POURING rain here and it wouldn’t really be fun or worth it to go into the city in the rain 😦  Oh well, we have fun lunch and movie plans for this afternoon anyway!  I’ll be back with more updates tomorrow/Monday! 😀

In case I don’t talk to you, Happy Easter (or whatever holiday you may or may not celebrate!)!!

Peace out! 🙂

The Panera Madness Continues!

Evening bloggies!

So I hit up Panera again today after running some earrands with my Mom 🙂

I am really lovin the Orchard Harvest Salad (sans Gorgonzola…even though today they forgot :-\) lately.

So keeping in tune with that…

tomato-and-salad

You Pick Two with Creamy Tomato soup with a whole grain baugette and the Orchard Harvest salad.  Delicious as usual…especially the soup; it was my first time trying it!  I highly recommend!

Had a family birthday party at my Dad’s tonight which meant pizza and cake with ice cream :-\

I’m a sucker when it comes to pizza (I feel like I could eat a whole pie!) so I kindly asked my father to order me a grilled chicken garden salad and he did!  It was awesome…lettuce, great grilled chicken slices, roasted red peppers, olives (ew!!), cucumbers and tomatoes!  Oil and vin on the side with a great doughy roll…mmm mmm good!

I also indulged in half a slice of cheese pizza…I was still waaay hungry!

I also had a small piece of cake and scoop of light ice cream…hit the spot!  No pics, sorry!!

Have a good night everyone!

Sweet dreams!

Homemade pizza!

What’s for dinner tonight!?

Homemade pizzas!!

I’m home for a few days on a break from school so my mother threw together some mini pizzas for her, me, and my brother.

They were pre-packaged whole wheat crusts (serving size half a shell, we each ate a full shell though) and we each topped ours with what we liked. Mine just had plain tomato sauce and LOTS of yummy broccoli!! I added some grated parm cheese to it and with it had a simple salad (with light balsamic dressing) and a piece of oh-so-delicious foccacia bread mmm. (salad and bread not pictured)

whole-wheat-pizza

Not the healthiest pizza option, but not too shabby either! Enjoyable?  Definitely 🙂

Although, this meal contained pretty much no protein…so I feel a snacky snack coming soon!

Delish.

Night all! 🙂
