Dust Yourself Off and Try Again

Hey all!  Sunday already!? Wtf! 😉  Back to the old grind tomorrow…

Thank you all for your positive comments on my last post, I truly appreciate it!  You ladies rock!!  It is a tough schedule, but I’ll adjust…it’s life.

Today started out normally enough, got up early around 7 and headed out for a jog/walk around my neighborhood around 7:30 am.  So I’m jogging along, about ten minutes into my outing…and I fallMajorly fall. I’ll spare you all the pictures, but it was nasty 😦 And it hurt!!

I was jogging down a relatively steep hill, which I know can be challenging, but I had pretty much (or so I thought) mastered the art of this particular hill.  NOT.  I tripped over who knows what (nothing that I could see) in the street and fell flat on my front.  Not fun.  I (of course after looking around to see who witnessed this lovlieness…no one did) assessed the damage.  I scraped my left knee up pretty badly, both of my outer palms also (skin missing ugh) and my left elbow.  The elbow and knee both have road rash up and down the whole arm/calf and it stings something awful.  I obviously called it quits and hobbled home to clean myself up.  I now am sporting some awesome band-aids and anti-bacterial cream and dealing with the sting. 😦 suckage.  Although this deterred me from continuing running today, I will not be scared away!  I plan on the gym this week, and outside jogging again soon! 🙂

After the drama-rama of the morning, I got ready and made myself some breakfast on the deck while reading the Sunday paper!  I love the Sunday paper with all the fun circulars and ads!  Woo!

adams pb eng muffin breakfast

Stop and Shop Raisin English Muffin with 1.5 tbsp of Honey Roasted Peanut Butter (a new, locally made find!) with a Plain, Non-Fat Dannon yogurt and a sliced kiwi (mmm!) and strawberries!  A wonderful summer breakfast!

My mom and I did some shopping today at a local outdoor outlet mall, and I snagged a new tank and short sleeve shirt from the Gap 50% off!  Score!  I love sales!  Lunch was eaten at Quiznos…

quiznos chicken salad

One of my favorites to get there!  The Roasted Chicken Salad, which I get sans bacon and Honey Mustard dressing on the side (for dipping just my fork into).  It contains chopped lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheddar cheese and chopped chicken breast.  I added pickles, and it’s served with this awesome warm pita-type flatbread on top…mmm delcious, doughy, and my favorite part of the salad easily!  I also enjoyed some Diet Pepsi and 3 mini Tootsie Rolls during and after.

I did some grocery shopping yesterday and today as well and came away with some fresh produce, Kashi Blueberry Waffles, Amy’s Burrito, Chobs, Edy’s Frozen Yogurt Cookies & Cream (mm!), Vitamin Water 10s, Caramel Turtle Chex Mix ;), Annie’s Mac (on sale!), tuna, and my personal favorite…Tofu Shirataki noodles!! I found these at a local store and snatched them up!  Whole pack for only 40 cals!?  Can’t wait to try them!!

Dinner tonight was a bit odd…finished up some leftover salad in my fridge and had a nice bowl of oats/oat bran!  Haven’t had that in sooo long!  Just the warmer weather I guess!  My bowl was made the usual way, with some skim milk and water, and a smashed banana.  I added flax and cinn and a big glob of Mighty Maple (almost gone AHHH!) and the fresh-ground Honey Roasted PB.  Mmm mmm tasty.  I finished off the night with some Chex mix and 1/2 of a Carrot Cake muffin my Mom got at the store 😉 Tasty!

Now I’m relaxing in bed with a Bridezilla’s marathon!  Does anyone else love this show!?  These ladies are crazazy!!

Gotta get to bed soon…5:15 am wakeup call!

Nighty night! 🙂

Let’s Just Start Fresh!

Good evening everyone, how’s it going?

In 28 minutes, it’s FRIIIIIDAY!!! Woo Woo!

No class. No work. A buncha earrands and PAR-TAY! Very exciting! 😉

Sorry for the lack of posting yesterday and today..I’ve been (and will continue to be until the end of the semester!) super busy!  So I’m just going to skip the rest of yesterday’s eats (nothing exciting) and go straight to today’s!

Breakfast was a lovely bowl of the usual…

1/4 cup oats

1/4 cup oat bran

1/2 banana, smushed up

Scoop pumpkin

Sprinkle flax

Sprinkle cinn

1 big tablespoon Mighty Maple

Made with 1/4 cup skim milk and a splash agua!

No workout today, as it was my rest day! Good thing too, I had no time between projects, papers, classes, and work!  Eeep!

Lunch was on-the-go.  First part:

turkey-egg-whites-wrap

FlatOut wrap with 2 microwaved egg whites, 3 slices honey turkey, 1 Laughing Cow and some spinach…mmm.

I had a Yoplait Thick ‘N Creamy French Vanilla Yogurt at work.  No apple today.  Just wasn’t feelin’ it.

After work, A and I were celebrating our 6 month anniversary!! So we headed out to a sushi/hibachi restaurant for dinner!  We’re sushi addicts lately!

We started with a spicy tuna roll to share (no pic) and we each had one of these babies for dinner:

western-ave-roll

Sorry for the dark picture!  This was a speciality house roll that had spicy crabmeat and spicy tuna with shrimp tempura and avocado.  SO good!  I’m getting much more adventurous with my meal choices!  Told me a few years ago that I’d be eating Indian and Sushi regularly, I would have laughed in your face!!

Dessert (of course!!) was fried green tea ice cream!  I’d never had fried ice cream before, and it certainly didn’t disappoint!

fried-green-tea-ice-cream

Garnished with chocolate syrups, whipped cream and a cherry of course!  So delicious!  Although the green tea ice cream kinda just tasted like vanilla, even though it was green. Haha oh well, still amazing!

That’s all for today!

Tomorrow’s very busy agenda:

Run outside/some gym elliptical & abs

Shower/get ready/breakfast cookie!!

Phone conference with my boss

Paper writing

Oil change for my car

Pick up paycheck/run to bank

Stop at liquor store 😉

Finalize outfit!! (Most important part of course!!)

Have a light dinner

PARTAAAAY! Last one in college 😦

Hope everyone has an awesome Friday, I’ll post tomorrow when I can!!

Nighty night!

I got my baby back baby back baby back

Happy Monday everyone!!

Back to the grind!  How was the weekend for you all?  Anything fun going on?

My weekend was a much needed quiet one.  I took a lot of pictures, and I’m so annoyed with WordPress!!  It keeps not wanting to load any of my pictures so sadly, a picture-less post it is 😦  Figures, I’m finally starting to remember to take pictures of my eats and then this 😦 boooo

Well my plans for Saturday pretty much did a 180…I had planned to go bar-hopping all day for St. Patty’s Day but changed my mind at the last minute.  I have to admit, I think I made a good choice for me.  I was in MAJOR need of some R&R and some me-time, and it did save me a lotta $$$ (espeically because I don’t like beer).  I wound up spending the day alone, running earrands, relaxing, and taking 2 beautiful hour long walks 🙂

I snacked on some 1% cottage cheese for a snack in the afternoon.

For dinner I whipped up a homemade pizza with the whole wheat sourdough pizza crust that I found at the co-op on Friday.  I added some marinara sauce, part-skim ricotta cheese, green pepper, frozen broccoli florets, garlic powder, italian spices, a sprinkle of mozzerella and pameasean.  It was so tasty!  I loved the whole wheat sourdough!!  I wish they sold this cheaper, I’d get it all the time!

For dessert I had about a cup of Free Bryers Chocolate Cookies and Cream ice cream!  110 cals per half cup and it’s soooooooo good.  I also had a few dips into a brand new…

MIGHTY MAPLE JAR!!! Reunited at last!!! 😀  Oh, how I’ve missed you. ❤

Sunday was spent sleeping in a bit (8am haha), going for a long walk, grocery shopping, HW, and church.  I had a yogurt “mess” for breakfast:

1 Lowfat Vanilla Stonyfield yogurt cup

1 sliced kiwi

1 small banana

about 1/4 cup cottage cheese (end of the carton)

1 tbsp strawberry all-fruit

teeny tiny spoonful Might Maple Love

Sprinkle Optimum Power Cereal and about 4 PB Puffins

Delish!

Lunch didn’t really happen…I tried a new Raspberry Chocolate Kashi Bar that I got from the store (not bad!…a little sweet) and licked the spoon a couple times while I made

Whole Wheat Banana Pumpkin Bread!!!

mmm sooo good. Recipe posted soon!

I also made another goody…oatmeal chocolate chip bars, adapted from Tina’s recipe for Oatmeal Raisin bars!  Thanks Tina!! 🙂

Dinner was uneventful…leftover pizza, 1/2 a cuke with some Sabra Roasted Red Pepper Hummus for dipping.  That hummus is the queen of hummus, but again so expensive!!  Lucky for me, I had a coupon this week 😛

No gym time this week…the weather here was gorgeous and all I wanted to do was be outside.  So I took a total of 3 hour long walks, and a 1/2 long walk total to church and back 🙂  So worth it.

Today I got a lazy start 😉

Another great day outside so I took advantage and went for a jog/walk!  Stats:

Time:  40 minutes

Distance (estimating?):  about 2.5-3 miles?

Calories burned: 340

Breakfast was the usual…oat bran/oats combo (1/3 cup)

small scoop pumpkin (end of the can)

small banana

sprinkle flax

sprinkle cinn

tbsp  Mighty Maple

And I had a small piece of my banana bread pre-jog 🙂

Nothing too exciting on the agenda today…work, class, study/dinner

Have a great day everyone!! 😀
